I don't have any tattoos and don't plan on getting any, but my jaw dropped when I heard Lucy say what hers were. I love Berserk and Bladerunner, and her tattoo concepts sound perfect as an homage to both IPs.
My user question is: When was the last time you felt really inspired by a video game? It could be from the game's music, the artstyle, the writing, the characters, etc. And, did it spark something in you that caused you to do something IRL?
Hi Friends. Longtime user but first time questioner. What are some of your favorite lizard brain games? Something that scratches that primal urge to see a number get exponentially bigger or more blocks get cleared, like Balatro, Vampire Survivors, or Lumines (criminally underrated btw).
Just started listening to the episode but literally laughed so hard at the absolute misfortune of recording the show and talking about Forza still being an xbox exclusive in future (maybe) , only for them to announce it for ps5 like the day after (i assume).
Awesome episode. Thanks for the link to Holly's artwork. Those flowers are so cool.
I've debated for a long time on what I would get in terms of a videogame-inspired tattoo but have never settled on anything. Can think of some for books, though.
Can we get Jake's take on Absolute Batman next episode???
In all seriousness though what's a videogame franchise or character that you you guys want to see an "Absolute" version of? The Absolute verison being at its core the same concept, but explores that concept in unique and exciting ways.
Thanks gang for putting out amazing episodes that keep my dog and I both entertained on lazy weekend afternoons!
I was honestly expecting Lucy to mention Churchill or the meerkats from Compare the Market when talking about insurance companies. Being Irish we got similar ads and I remember the outrage when Churchill went from the fun bobblehead on your dashboard to a CG monstrosity devoid of life and personality

This is a great question.
