First off thank you for answering my user question, it was definitely my highlight of the week. So this episode when Ralph asked which game would you show your gram, I knew my answer right away. So when Red Dead Redemption came out, my Gram walked beside me and saw the horses; she was absolutely smitten with the horses in that game. After that, she would seat with me while I played each and every game my mom or her bought for me. Sadly I lost her in 2017, so a bit of time later when Red Dead 2 came out I obviously bought it. When I started playing, I just broke into tears. Even to this day, just the thought of it brings me to tears. In that moment, playing RD2, I just thought "wow, if grandma could see the horses now". It's a bittersweet memory but I thank you guys for taking me back to that place.

This perhaps isn’t the spot for this comment, but I’d love to see more video game artists on the podcast, similar to what Corridor Digital does with CGI artists, so we get more behind the scenes on the technical/design of video games and the creative decisions needed to bring their video games to life. I would think there are plenty of professionals with solid portfolios of work that’ll be interested to be interviewed. Especially those that want to get more name recognition and highlight a recent successful project or promote an upcoming game.

So glad I gave “Thank goodness you’re here” a try! My wife and I had a blast playing through it.

User Question: Prompted by having just seen “Shill Ups” name pop-up on a Space Marine 2 trailer (ahead of IGN and PC Gamer - nicely done); I was wondering if there are any games you’ve played over the years (big or small) that maybe you came to early on in their development, ahead of the crowd, or one that was simply a favourite/has a special place in your heart that you wish you name could be immortalised against in its trailer? And if it could be (with 20:20 hindsight), what would your “quote be”? (Bonus points for comedy answers)

User question here. I’m in the middle of getting my masters in mental health counseling, and it’s made me curious about how mental health is handled by games. I’d like to try some games that handle that subject matter well. What games would you recommend?

A little bit of a different user question:

When you are eating pancakes, do you cut into the entire stack and eat a bit of the 2-3 pancakes with every bite? Or do you eat 1 pancake at a time from the stack?

G'day guys, first things first: I hope there's no smoke alarms in the Gamespot offices because a smokeshow like Lucy would be setting them off every hour.

Second: With the age of the demo disks as dead as Ralph's journo career what game/s do you think would be perfect in a demo format?

I.e: Something that's a slow burn that picks up just as the demo comes to a close OR a game that's great but flies under the radar and would lend itself well to a demo format

Awesome episode! I’ve got a question for next week:

In 2017 I started watching an upstart channel with a few thousand subscribers: Laymen Gaming. I had recently left Australia and moved to the other side of the world, so to tune into Sam and Ralph and their brotherly bants made my day. I watched every episode, and the channel exploded. There was no gaming channel like it. The memes were top shelf. Then one day you guys just stopped. I was gutted. Do you have any plans for future collabs? Could you at least throw some spaghetti at Sam next time you’re at family dinner and tell him to upload something?

This whole time I thought Lucy was Australian like Skill Up. Your accents are super similar.

Such bummer news about Gameinformer! I just re-subscribed and only got 4 editions in before they shut it down. I’m excited to check out Viewport though. I love a good documentary.

I've been a big fan of James Turner's art for so long, this was such a cool interview to get to see. Ya'll crushed it as per usual!

Can't wait to listen to this this weekend. Really looking forward to the live show, too.

You know, I had little interest in Space Marine 2, but Ralph's video earlier in the week may have convinced me.

Also, ..."the pole vaulter (Google this yourselves)" ;)
