Hey Lucy! Thanks for putting out the Substack even with all of the busyness and travel!
Really quick omission to the list of reviewers! Jake mentioned Mortismal Gaming as a reviewer he really likes. Mortismal is a great reviewer who really puts the work into FULLY 100% and makes really detailed analysis of the games. Just wanted to make sure he got a proper mention.
Personally, I enjoy having the mix of graded and ungraded reviews and it allows me to see a mix of perspectives and "scores", and I really like Ralph putting the summary in the title of his YouTube videos. My heart sank when I saw the title for Avowed, haha, but after trying it on GamePass I very much agree. Plus, having no huge interest in KCD previously, I am now very keen to try KCD2 after your superb review. A nice example of a case where I probably would have passed up on a game were it not for me knowing and trusting a reviewer's opinions.
Hope the rest of Japan trip was great, Lucy. Would love to go back sometime. 2019 was the last time I was there and that's far too long ago.
Jake, glad you didn't kill yourself putting that fan in. ;)
Great show again, just wanted to comment to show appreciation not just for the content but the amazing chemistry you guys have. Since I got my kid my gaming time has dramatically changed and you have managed to fill that void by a tenfold. One thing I would love to ask though is a recurrent theme in many episodes and other podcasts I listened to, where you fantasize with the idea of big forgotten ips given to indies or other studios to have a go at reviving them, if we pushed it to the limit and there were no limitations what studio would you love to have a go at which franchise? Like a Super Mario from From Software or something similar. Keep up the amazing work loads of love from Spain.

Thanks for a wonderful podcast and Substack!
OH NO, I'm so sorry I missed them, let me see if I can amend the Substack post. Thank you for catching!
Before You Buy, Skill Up, The Besties, Triple Click, and FPS is where I get all my recommendations and reviews! Thanks for all you guys do!
Thank you, Lucy, for organizing a list with the reviewers mentioned with links and all! I'll definitely check some of them out
Really great listen.
