Loved the episode. But I must say I was very disappointed by the YT comments on this episode - a lot of unjustified hate towards Paul, ok he didn't have the same opinion as Ralph, isn't that the point of having him on? I don't know - the comments just felt so off from the normal positive vibes.
Agreed, usually the comment section on the episodes are pretty wholesome. This last episode though was extremely toxic. I imagine it was a lot of outrage tourists who just watched the dragon age section of the podcast and who never listened to an episode before.
Paul's unfortunately become a big target for a lot of the worst people in gaming. I very much doubt the people commenting listen to the podcast regularly.
I happen to follow Paul on twitter and YT, and oh boy isn't that his life there, people absolutely love to jump into comments on his content and insult him in all possible ways.
In this case I think there is a huge number of people who just want Veilguard to fail big time, maybe because they want everyone to see that Bioware is done for good, that people can't have fun with 'new' Bioware games, because only 'old' Bioware deserves to be played. Btw I also think Bioware that made all those brilliant games we loved is gone, but what type of person you have to be to lash out like this on everyone who even mildly enjoys Veilguard is beyond me.
Yeah, agree. Saddens me that there can't be civil discourse around things in comments, which is exactly what was going on in the video discussion itself. It was somewhat amusing to know/see Ralph just sitting there whilst Paul talked about DA, but it was a civil and insightful discussion and everyone got to say their bit. It was a good balance having Paul, Jake, Lucy and Ralph all at different stages of the game/history with the franchise. I really enjoyed listening.
Somewhat off topic user question....what software do y'all use to get all these video streams together? Trying to get a video podcast started and trying to navigate recording different video streams all together. Is it a zoom and then an overlay in post? Or some other thing like riverside or obs?
This would be a user question: I just finished the brutal ending of The Penguin, which left me thinking, which secondary character of a movie or series would you like to see get the 'penguin treatment'? Or even better, which secondary character/NPC would you like to see headline their own game?!
What’s your favourite weird Video Game adjacent product? For example I love how they recently released a Cult Of the Lamb metal album, and I remember Jake’s Metal Gear Solid Cologne. I love how the games industry does these weird and seemingly random products sometimes, so what are your guys favourites?
Thanks!! I love listening to the pod every week and it’s become one of the biggest things I look forward to every 2 weeks. From a developer in training, Jessie.
Hey this one is for Ralph. I just got a the new meta quest and was wondering what games you'd most recommend. I've played beat saber, Onward, walking dead, and batman comes with it. Any other recs?
